Biography

JOE SCOTT
Singer/Song Writer

Born: Barrie, Ontario

Picked up the guitar at the age of 13.  Self taught, Joe has developed a unique style and technique of guitar playing that incorporates the greats that he has seen and listened to over the years, like Jimmy Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Joe Perry.

The bands that influenced him the most were Aerosmith, Stone Temple Pilots, Guns N’ Roses, Motley Crue and Creed.

The vocals came naturally to Joe as a compliment to his guitar stylings.

Now, this singer/songwriter performs as a singer/lead guitarist, as well as on acoustic guitar and bass.

Joe has been fronting bands since the age of 15, such as Technical Difficulties, Salva, Blame Joe, Liquidown, Crushed Velvet, & Zhivago.

Over the years Joe has opened for State of Shock, Default, Econoline Crush, & Clark Nova.

Joe has interspersed the full band shows with solo acoustic performances; such as The Richie Hayward Fundraiser Benefit Concert in Courtenay, BC.

These solo appearances have mesmerized audiences with his powerful yet hypnotic voice and guitar technique.

In November of 2009, Joe recorded 2 of his original songs, “Your Eyes” and “Light of Day”, at Grant Ave Studio, in Hamilton, Ontario.  And was back again this June recording 4 more original songs, "It's Over", "Tell Me Why", I've Changed" and "Desire".

Performing the guitar and live vocals off the studio floor, Joe has captured his musical magic in these recordings that will only grow his fan base across the country.
